PRESS RELEASE - MCELY 2006-11-10

“Chateau Mcely Puts its Best Foot Forward!”

Chateau Mcely wins FIRST PLACE in the prestigious “Best of Realty

2006” Awards in the “Hotel Projects” category.

Chateau Mcely is named the most luxurious boutique hotel in the Czech Republic by Dolce Vita Magazine.

Chateau Mcely is admired not only by design experts and the media, but especially by satisfied guests.

Chateau Mcely took part in a gala evening and awards presentation of the 8th annual contest of the best of realty projects in the Czech Republic on November 9th, 2006. The competition took place under the auspices of the Ministry for Regional Development and the Association for Real Estate Development, which keeps an eye on the professional quality of the competition. Chateau Mcely was chosen the first-place winner of “Best of Realty 2006” in “Hotel Projects ” category. This prestigious award was given for sensitive reconstruction of devastated castle.

This year, four categories were evaluated: Hotel Projects, New Business Centers, Shopping Centers, and Residential Projects. The decisive criteria for this competition are location, spatial and architectural solutions, quality of execution, and market success. Only a project bringing substantial added value can qualify for an award. The Jury selected the best four candidates in each category, and three of them were then put on a shortlist. Finally, the Jury designated the first, second and third place winners in each category. Jury Chairman, Ing. Kamil Kosman said: “The second largest category was surprisingly the Hotels category, which encompassed the highest quality for the largest number of nominations that the Jury has ever seen. Consequently, the winner in this category, Chateau Mcely, was perhaps unexpected. It introduces an innovative product to our market, renovated and designed with incredible detail, and although the first and second place competitors were judged only one point less than Chateau Mcely, the victory is well-deserved.” Mandarin Oriental in Prague won second place.

Chateau Mcely also has seen a very positive reaction from the media. It was named the most luxurious boutique hotel in the Czech Republic by Dolce Vita Magazine.

The most important evaluation of Chateau Mcely comes from its guests. Almost all guests leave the chateau with a smile and the compliment, “see you again soon”. Guests often contribute their impressions to travel websites. A typical article, written by two Australian guests, and entitled, "One of the best in the WORLD," can be found at the link here!

In Chateau Mcely’s guestbook, glowing compliments abound. For example, Sanjiv Suri, President of Prague’s Zatisi Catering Group said after attending YPO Forum held at the chateau, “What an Oasis! Chateau Mcely has certainly set the bar very high for Prague Hoteliers.  It was service, service, service, all the way.”

Some other compliments by guests include:

“A perfect connection of peace, romance, calm and enjoyment to the smallest detail…”

“Thank you so much for your wonderful and generous hospitality in this magical place….”

“We are very happy that we have something so inspiring and beautiful in the Czech Republic…”

“Just one hour from Prague, but it feels like another world!”

“Beautiful location, fantastic room, spectacular bed and warm service…”
